Looking to build a new custom home? You may want to consider the latest feature trends for the custom built home.
Large kitchens, with an island—Kitchens have evolved from simply a place to cook, to the very center of a home. The kitchen has transitioned into the room where families gather to talk at the end of the day, creating the need for a larger space. A kitchen island can serve as much more than a focal point for the kitchen. Having an island will add an architectural separation to the kitchen, provide a larger work space and give family and friends a place to congregate in the kitchen.
Energy-efficient appliances—Custom home buyers are looking for a larger amount of “green” features, but recycled materials are not at the top of their list. At the present time, custom home buyers are interested mainly in energy efficient appliances for their luxury homes.
Main-floor master suite—Empty-nesters aren’t the only ones interested in a downstairs sleeping arrangement. One benefit created by the main-floor master suite is the distance from the noise created by guests or children. Another reason could be a private deck or patio off the master suite. Whatever your reason is, it is a good idea to consider building the master suite on the main-floor.
Outdoor living room—The outdoor space continues to grow in popularity as people opt to spend more time outdoors. Create a comfortable outdoor living space for your family and friends where they can enjoy good conversation surrounded by nature.
There are many new and exciting trends in the custom home sector and we’d love to discuss them with you. We currently have lots available but can also build on your lot.
