A Sunny Evening.

Wonderful blue skies tonight when I came home. Very different to this morning when it was grey, cold and wet.

It's been a busy day in school today. We had an after school session for the staff on painting and colour mixing. It was fun to play around with paints and already we've got some new ideas to try out with the children. I'm really looking forward to our arts' fortnight when we can really focus on lots of art activities. Last year our theme was 'The Sea' and we had a whole ocean of creatures hanging from the ceiling of the classroom. This year we'll be focusing on our local environment so we can expand the investigations into creatures and plants around the school. I'm already brewing up some ideas for giant minibeasts.

Peter went for an MRI scan today. Maybe they'll finally decide what is the cause of his joint problems. So far they've ruled out gout and arthritis. It's taken so long because of the way the system works. They try one treatment, wait a couple of weeks to see if it works and then wait again to see the next specialist and wait again to have the next set of tests. Never mind that the patient has been off work for weeks and in considerable pain. It's cheaper for the NHS that way rather than doing all the tests at the start. Now he has to wait for the specialist to look at the scan results and maybe finally get the correct treatment.
