Leila's Happy Haven

I spend a lot of time looking at beautiful rooms online, but it's not too often I see ones that make me as happy as this room. And then to know it was designed by ten year-old Leila, the daughter of Velvet & Linen blogger Brooke Giannetti makes me even happier! After first finding the perfect floral rug at Anthro, she was inspired to choose Farrow and Ball's "Blue Ground" for the walls. It makes a great background for displaying Leila's colorful artwork. Don't you love the sofa, chair and ottoman?? And hello there, dreamy alcove! *sigh* I just know all of her friends want to hang out at her house now! (I know I do!) Heavenly Hideaway

I'll don't think I will ever get tired of seeing the Ikea canopy bed, especially all dolled up with flowing curtains like this! This adorable room that was featured in At Home in Arkansas belongs to the daughter of Jennifer and Jeff of Herron Horton Architects and is the perfect hideaway, no matter your age! I love the fresh color palette of the bedding against all the white, not to mention the colorful design on those fab pillow shams. Those windows look pretty incredible too!

Red and Turquoise Guest Rooms

I'm such a huge fan of red and turquoise, so obviously I'm gonna love these fabulous guest rooms. I LOVE the fabric on the benches and lovely bedskirts in the first two images. And I'm dying to have a black and white rug like the one in the last image. Aside from the colors, the whole symmetry of these rooms is really appealing to me as well. Always a Sunny Day

How entirely cheery is this bedroom that Ez of Creature Comforts designed for her 10 year-old daughter (check out her post for more pictures, and awesome references to everything). I LOVE the aqua mirror, an old gilded one that Ez spraypainted. I was so inspired yesterday from the turquoise and yellow, a combo I'd not yet appreciated, so seeing this room only reinforced that excitement!

An All-Time Favorite

This isn't the first time I've posted this room, but its easily one of my all-time favorites. Additionally, I just found the picture of the other side of the room so I thought I'd share. This room was designed by Sally Henderson especially for a teenage girl. I love absolutely everything about it...the color scheme, the comfy sitting area, the built-ins, the pretty area rug, the Lucite furniture, and the enormous ceiling. The World According to Jessica Claire recently featured this colorful Manhattan townhome belonging to fashion designer Nanette Lepore. You can easily see the signature touches of Jonathon Adler who decorated the home. How about that ship chandelier?! Not sure I'd like it sailing in my own home...but cheers to them! Beautiful Bunking

Urban Grace Interiors recently had a fantastic post featuring all sorts of gorgeous draped beds, including this pretty picture that I just love. What a great idea for a beach house. When I was a kid, heck even now, I'd love to spend some QT bunking here with my cousins or friends.
