Hello all, Laura Trevey here from Bright Bold and Beautiful! I am super excited to share with you my favorite turquoise room... As Chevy Chase says in my favorite holiday movie, Christmas Vacation, "drum roll please..." My art studio is where I live, breathe and get inspiration every single day. I cannot remember what I did with my time before we added this bright room in our home. The soothing and cheerful turquoise color is Spring Mint.

Thank you Erin for your daily inspiration on House of Turquoise! I am delighted and honored to be here and share my studio with you.

Armelle Studio

Wednesday, February 16, 2011

Do you guys remember little Norah's nursery?? One of my ALL-TIME favorites ever?! The design genius behind it and this gorgeous studio is jewelry designer Caroline of Armelle Jewelry. Schumacher's Birds and Butterflies wallpaper is a match made in heaven with her stained concrete floor. (Wouldn't you love to do that in your basement?!) I absolutely adore the white armoire she lovingly painted too, and how the inside is painted Robins Nest by Benjamin Moore to match the floors. Read all about these projects and more over on her blog!

Dream Office

Thursday, January 22, 2009

Jennifer of The Magic Brush discovered this drool-worthy office belonging to BrooklynLimestone. Other than my obvious love for Benjamin Moore "Waterfall" on the walls, I ADORE the hand painted birds and branches on the window. The Kartell Louis Ghost Chair, desk and zebra rug are just divine as well. And what a genius idea to frame a peg board. I think I discovered my dream office!

Crafting in a Tiffany Box and Feeling Grateful

Sunday, June 15, 2008

I love this cheerful craft room that was submitted to Apartment Therapy's Fall Colors Contest. I can totally see how this room would inspire some major creativity. -Apartment Therapy

So I am feeling pretty grateful today. First of all, Paula from Neutral Dwelling gave a huge shout-out to House of Turquoise (and my other blogs too!) on her blog today. Thank you Paula! Seeing your entry just made my day! Check out the image she posted of her daughter's turquoise bedroom...I love the striped bedding!

Lastly, I have the best dad ever. He wore a turquoise shirt I gave him five years ago to his father's day BBQ today, JUST because he knew it would make me happy. And it did! (He also wore the "My Daughter is #1" pin that was part of the the card I gave him!) Happy Father's Day, Dad!

Rosy Little Things

Friday, April 4, 2008

Alicia Paulson's whimsical creations for sale at Posie: Rosy Little Things are all created in this lovely home studio in Portland, Oregon. As she says, "Have you ever seen a sugar Easter egg with an icing-trimmed window for peeking into a little scene within? My studio is like this — a little sugary, a little flowery, and at its best on cold, overcast afternoons when the turquoise walls glow, and doggie is napping under the work table, and inspiration seems to come from every basket." -Alicia Paulson
